It seems as though we finally have a way to download widgets for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad using the new Notification Center in iOS 5. Although this is not the way that we were hoping widgets would be implemented into the new OS, it at least gives us a little bit of confidence that there will be some type of widgets in the final release of iOS 5 by Apple in September. Currently, to download the widgets, you must jailbreak your device running iOS 5, and download them via Cydia. We are very hopeful they are fully implemented without a jailbreak in the fall.
