Rather than my usual updates, I have a helpful blog post for you guys to protect yourselves from some recent hacks and malware that have found their way on to the App Store over the past couple of days. Surprisingly, this is the first time that the iOS App Store has been hacked, suffering a huge security breach this weekend and being infected with malware. Essentially, some developers were using a pirated version of Xcode to compile their app store apps, causing this hack, and thus causing many problems for some users of iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches as well as the loss of some credit card and personal information! This is obviously not a good thing, and the best thing to do right now is to remove any of the applications on the app store that have been infected that you may have installed on your device. In the video below, I run through the process and let you know more details on the hack as well as what apps to remove to protect your device. Be sure to remove these apps to protect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch from the XcodeGhost malware now! If you have questions, feel free to reach out. Spread the word.
