The iPhone 8 will include a virtual home button, a split status bar, and a home button “function area” as part of its new design, according to multiple rumors detailed over the past two weeks. The function area will be similar to the MacBook Pro Touch Bar, and along with the virtual home button and split status bar, the way we navigate menus and apps within iOS 11 could greatly improve. The iPhone 8 has a release date of September 2017 and will feature an edge-to-edge AMOLED display, wireless charging, augmented reality, Face ID face detection, iOS 11, and more.
