what happened to the posts?
Well, we USED to have another writer on here who had done some posts for us, since we were busy, but he decided to delete all his posts and leave. Why? Well, he had wanted us to rig the contest so he could be the winner of the iPod touch. Quite frankly, we don't do that sort of stuff. The contest was designed for our subscribers, as a thank you for getting us this far. He also wanted to get more out of this, ie getting paid a lot. In other words, he was impatient. He had been on this blog for less than a month, and in that time we really didn't make much money. We still haven't either, most of out expenses are out of our pockets for now. So, knowing that, we need someone who is willing to make posts on a REGULAR basis and will stick with the site for a while. You will get payed, but not until we start making money. Macs to get a "Magic Trackpad"
According to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission's online database, a "magic track-pad" or a "magic slate" was approved for production. The details on this track-pad are few, but what we do know is that is works with Bluetooth, WiFi and WWAN networks. It also only appears to be a accessory, since it lacks a screen, as seen is the photos bellow. The device is rumored to support multi touch gestures, similar to the ones in recent Macbooks and iMacs as well as every feature on the current mighty mouse.. Also, some claim that it will even have handwriting support, which seems fairly likely. Apple has done a lot to keep this project under wraps, more so than most of their other accessories, such as iPhone 4 cases. Therefore, we can speculate that it will be a major accessory to Macs, and possibly iPads and iPhones.

This was what the FCC shows:

Sorry about the lack of Activity
Well we are still alive here at The Macintosh Review, but we actually have very little to post about. I figure that Apple won't make any announcements or leak any thing about any of their products until after they get a solution to the current iPhone 4. Why? Well even though Apple is a big company, you should realize that when Steve Jobs is saying they are doing all they can do, he's probably not kidding. Plus, thats really what everyone seems to care about in terms of Apple, so even macrumors isn't really even posting much. Hopefully, more news will come out soon, and we can continue to put up posts!
thanks for your patient

iPhone 4 Unlock and Jailbreak: Updated News From PlanetBeing
The iPhone 4 Has finally been Unlocked! News came today from the iPhone Dev Team, specifically PlanetBeing's Twitter. Essentially, PlanetBeing posted a few pictures as well as a tweet that stated he had jailbroken his own iPhone 4, as well as Unlocked it, and he says everything is working great, and the release should be coming soon! There is no set release date yet, but it is assumed it will come out when Apple releases their next firmware update, which will be sometime before the end of July. At least it is good to have confirmation that this will be coming out soon! Check out the video for the pictures and more information, and subscribe to the youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/danglekingpc.

How To Use FaceTime Over 3G with Fring!
For some strange, unknown reason, Apple failed to include the ability to use FaceTime over 3G Cell Service when the released the feature along with their iPhone 4. However, now with the help of the App Store, there is a way in which iPhone 4 users can video chat with anyone using 3G. The way that this works is by using an application, called Fring, which is a free download from the iTunes App Store. Once downloaded, users can video chat with anyone else using the App over 3G, as well as wifi, but this app even comes with an added bonus--you can video chat with other mobile devices and computers--not just other iPhone 4's! However, there are a few downsides to using this app over 3G that users should be warned of. First off, it is a big data hog, so if you have a limited data plan, be careful, as you may rack up a LOT of money on your bill. Also, because 3G is slower than wifi, video quality may be laggy or rough, but hey, it works right? Moreover, you can only use the front facing camera on the iPhone in Fring, not both like in FaceTime. And Lastly, this may destroy At&t's bandwith so we may have to see if it will last. But for now, go grab the App! Link below, and for more information, as well as a live preview of the app, watch the video below! Thanks. If this helped you out, check out http://www.youtube.com/danglekingpc for all of our video updates.
iPhone Nano, iPod Touch Nano, iPod Touch Shuffle, or Wrist Watch Coming?
What do you guys think? What is this touch screen and what device will it be used for? Let me know by leaving a comment here or on my YouTube Channel at http://www.youtube.com/danglekingpc. Whatever it is, it looks like Apple has something in store for this 3x3 centimeter touch screen, but we will just have to wait and see. Are you wondering what I am talking about? The iPhone 4 Has Been Jailbroken...Twice!
The iPhone 4 has once again been jailbroken, this time by GeoHot. Earlier last week, Comex of the iPhone Dec Team announced that he had jailbroken the Device, but he had not released the jailbreak yet. Later the same week, GeoHot announced he received the iPhone 4 in the Mail, and Jailbroke it upon receiving it. However, he has not released the tool either. The Jailbreak is said to be released after the iOS 4.0.1 or 4.1 update is released to fix the iPhone reception issues, but it seems as though Apple is waiting for the jailbreak to be released before they release the firmware update. It is almost as if Apple and the iPhone Dev Team are at a stalemate in releasing their updates. We will have to wait and see what happens, but it is good news to hear that we definitely have a jailbreak coming, as two people have now hacked it.
What to Expect from iPod Touch 4...Camera for FaceTime?
The iPod Touch 4 will be Apple's next big device showcased this fall at the annual iPod Event in September. What will this new device bring? In my personal opinion, I believe it will include an A4 Processor, Retina Display, Longer Battery Life, A Front Facing Camera for FaceTime, and A Revamped design to match the iPhone 4. Check out the two videos attached to this post for more info on the iPod Touch 4, as well as subscribe to our YouTube channel so you never miss another video update: http://www.youtube.com/danglekingpc. Thanks!

iPod to get a camera, but only a rear facing one?
A rear facing 3.2 mega-pixel camera similar to the one on the iPhone 3GS may be coming to the next generation of iPod, instead of the 5 mega-pixel camera on the iPhone 4 that faces both front and back. Amid rumors that the two 5 mega-pixel cameras will be on the next generation iPod, a viable source claims that it just won't happen, and will be replaced by the single, rear facing camera. Logistically speaking however, neither is currently possible as the 5 mega-pixel camera simply won't fit into the current iPod casing, but because of the tapered design of the iPod even the 5mm camera in the 3GS won't fit. Yet, Apple has prototypes of the current generation of iPods with camera's in them, which only fit because those iPods were actually a little larger than the ones that are being sold (images below). Whether Apple decides to change the design of the iPod to be more similar to the box-y iPhone 4, won't be known until more images arise or until the iPod is released.

New Youtube Mobile Website Review
Today, Google rolled out the new YouTube Mobile Web App to the world. The app is very fast, and is much more feature-packed than the native application on the iPhone. Similar to the design revamp that Google instated on the Desktop Version of the YouTube website, the iPhone Web App sports an all new design, as well as many new useful features. These features include: quicker video loading, better video page management, better channel pages, better browsing features, better management of playlists/subscriptions/favorites, and better stability of the site overall. If you haven't already--grab the web app! The Link is below. Enjoy.

How To Get Flash Player on iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone on All Firmwares
If you guys saw my previous post/video, you know that I wrote and spoke about Comex's next project, codenamed "Frash". In this project, he is working to bring Adobe Flash Player to the Apple devices, something that they currently lack. Although his method requires some hacking and coding, it really is the only way to get full flash on the Devices. However, his guide has not yet been released. As a temporary fix, there is an app in the App Store that allows you to do just this--view flash content on your device! The app is called "Cloud Browse" and the link is below. For a review/tutorial, check out the video below. The app is quite fast, and it features flash which is great. Although not a good browser for long-time use, this is a great alternative just for the times that it is absolutely necessary for the use of Flash on your device. Check out our youtube channel for more information, link below as well. Enjoy.

iPhone 4 Jailbreak: No Longer a Mystery!
The iPhone 4 Jailbreak is no longer just fiction--it has finally happened. Earlier today, Comex and Musclenerd of the iPhone Dev Team both tweeted that the iPhone has finally been jailbroken, but this jailbreak has yet to be released. The reason for this is that due to the fact that the iPhone 4 has had many reception issues, Apple must release a firmware update. The Dev Team knows Apple is working hard to fix these reception issues, and to release the jailbreak before the firmware update is release is just stupid, as Apple may find a way to patch the jailbreak. For this reason, the Jailbreak will be released sometime in the next coming weeks. Stay tuned for the next update on this topic. For more information, Check out the video above if you haven't already! Thanks for visiting.

App Store Hacking! Be Careful! My thoughts...
The app store has been hacked! According to multiple sources, the App Store has been hacked by an individual of the name "Thuat Nguyen". Although it was an unknown team that has done so, many apps found in the "ebook" section of the app store are from this one unknown developer. What is occurring is many of the actual, real books in the app store are being pushed to the bottom, therefore, harming developers and lowering sales. Not only have these people messed around with the App Store itself, but they have also hacked many innocent people's iTunes Store Accounts. If you happen to see suspicious activity on your credit card, or your iTunes Account Store Credit drop, let apple know, and get it straightened out with your bank or credit card company. You don't want something small to end up becoming huge. Check out the video attached for full details. If you find the video in any way helpful, please subscribe to our youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/danglekingpc. The more subscribers we have, the more people see this video, and the closer we are to stopping this hacking for good. Thanks.

Although not huge news, it is good to know that the Office Apps will finally be making their way to the other Apple Devices soon. iPhone kills again, what will it take to beat it?
Believe it or not, less than 50 days ago Microsoft released two iPhone killers that were supposed to "change how much a smartphone can do". Under the code name "project pink", the two phones were named "KIN one" and "KIN two", and took a backseat to the hype of the iPhone 4 which led to their untimely demise, as Microsoft has stopped advertising, selling, and production of both of the phones. These devices featured out of date in terms of design featuring a similar design to the Nokia Twist,
but, much rounder. Although KIN one and KIN two show cased a 5 mega-pixel and 8 mega-pixel camera respectively, the interface was clunky and people found it difficult to use many of the features Microsoft advertised. The website, http://www.kin.com/ shows them off still, and will probably gone in the coming months or sooner it is difficult to predict.
So then, what does it take to kill Mr. iPhone? i would like to hear what you think is required to kill the iPhone! post what you think in the comments or send them to me via email at patchett.brian@gmail.com. When we get a good idea what you think is necessary to kill the iPhone, we will make a post to show you what people think it takes.
